Waiting Well is an NHS service supporting patients who are waiting for planned surgery or treatment.

Improving your fitness, diet, and mental health can help you to make a better and quicker recovery. It also reduces the risk of your treatment being cancelled because you’re not well enough to have the operation.

As part of Waiting Well, we hold exercise classes twice a week for patients living in Middlesbrough. These run alongside a comprehensive health and wellbeing programme, and are run jointly with South Tees NHS Foundation Trust and South Tees Public Health.

Classes take place on:

  • Tuesdays, from 1pm to 2pm
  • Thursdays, from 1pm to 2pm

If you’re eligible, the Waiting Well team will contact you. You cannot refer yourself to Waiting Well.
